    Ethical testing is a specialized discipline within software quality assurance that focuses on evaluating systems—especially AI and machine learning models—to ensure they operate fairly, safely, transparently, and without causing unintended harm to users or society.

    It moves beyond traditional functional testing (does the code work?) to address societal impact (is the code fair and safe?).

    Why It Matters

    As AI systems become integrated into critical decision-making processes (e.g., lending, hiring, healthcare), the potential for algorithmic bias, discrimination, and misuse grows. Ethical testing mitigates these risks.
