The decision

Findings become a decision through rules you configure

Every capture produces findings in three groups. The rules your team sets turn those findings into one of three outcomes. Verification closes at your configured cut-off before the appointment, so a review finishes before the truck arrives.

Driver identity

  • ID check issues
  • Low face match or liveness result
  • Assignment-to-ID name mismatch
  • Expired ID

Vehicle and carrier

  • VIN, plate, or USDOT inconsistencies
  • Missing or expired documents
  • Carrier status or insurance issues

Other risk signals

  • Phone carrier and line type
  • IP, connection, and location findings
  • Internal screening: whitelist and blacklist

Rules you configure

  1. Face match under your threshold sends the record to review

  2. An expired certificate of insurance denies until the document is corrected

  3. A whitelisted driver on a flagged line type still clears

Clear

The driver gets the QR code and proceeds to the gate.

Verified in the Carrier Portal

Review

The record waits for your team. The driver holds for instruction instead of proceeding to the facility.

Need review in the Carrier Portal

Deny

Dispatch is told to assign a new driver or correct the documents before the appointment.

Failed in the Carrier Portal

01
Findings are not automatic denials. The rules you configure decide the outcome, and the same rules apply on every shift.
02
A co-driver completes identity verification only. No vehicle information is collected and no vehicle decision is made for a co-driver.

At the gate

One scan, one code, and the driver is in

The driver arrives holding a QR code tied to the appointment, the person, and the equipment. The guard scans it in the yard app, sees the verified record, and confirms the phone in hand is the one that was verified.

The guard scans the QR code
The yard app opens the verified record. The guard checks the details, can re-scan the license if they want to, and adds a note if something needs one.
A code proves the phone is in hand
Express Verify sends a one-time code to the driver's phone. Entering it confirms the person at the gate holds the phone that completed verification.
Check-in returns the location
Check-in completes with the dock or parking location on screen, and the load shows as checked in for dispatch.

Try it

Read an ID or a VIN, right here

Point your camera at a document, or use one of ours. Either way it gets read the way the gate does — pull the fields off the document, then run the checks: expiry against today, the VIN checksum, and whether every field the document type must carry is actually there.

Driver licence specimen documentDL-01

Driver licence

Name, date of birth, licence number, class and expiry.

Contractor credential specimen documentCC-02

Contractor credential

A site badge that expired — the check should catch it.

Vehicle registration specimen documentVR-03

Vehicle registration

VIN, plate and unit number, with the VIN checksum verified.

These are specimen documents from fictional authorities — no real person's details appear on them. This is a demonstration of document reading: it does not check an issuing authority's records or judge whether a document is genuine. DIEV does that at the gate.

How it works

Six phases, finished before arrival

The driver completes the whole check in the phone browser on the way in, with no app to install. Each phase captures and validates as it goes, so what reaches your team is a finished record ready for a decision, not a clipboard and a queue.
01

SMS and phone

Dispatch assigns the driver by phone number in the Carrier Portal, which sends a verification link by SMS. The driver opens it, confirms the number, and enters a one-time code.

Captured Phone number, SMS code

02

Identity

A face scan with liveness detection, then the front and back of the driver's license. If a scan fails, a manual photo through the camera is accepted.

Captured Face, license front and back

03

Truck

The driver scans the license plate, the VIN, and the side of the truck showing the USDOT number and carrier name.

Captured Plate, VIN, truck side

04

Documents

The cab card (registration) and the certificate of insurance are scanned and read, with expiry dates checked.

Captured Cab card, COI

05

Equipment

The driver reviews what was captured and enters the equipment number, type, cargo status, size, and color.

06

Submission and access

The driver reviews everything and taps Submit verification. The system validates the package, and when everything matches it issues a QR code and a one-time code to present to the guard.

What gets verified

Both sides of every arrival

DIEV covers the person and the equipment in one pass on the driver's phone: one flow, one record, one decision.
Driver's license scanning screen

Driver identity

Confirm the person who shows up is the person dispatch assigned.

  • An SMS link and a one-time code tie the phone in hand to the assigned load
  • A face scan with liveness detection confirms a live person, not a photo or a screen
  • License front and back scanned and read, with a manual photo fallback if the scan fails
  • Every driver screened against your whitelist and blacklist
Equipment capture screen for the tractor and trailer

Equipment & compliance

Confirm the truck, the carrier, and the paperwork match the appointment.

  • License plate and VIN captured by scan rather than by hand
  • The side of the truck showing the USDOT number and carrier name
  • Cab card and certificate of insurance captured and checked for expiry
  • Equipment number, type, cargo status, size, and color entered by the driver

Why it matters

What changes at the gate

Faster throughput

Verification finishes before arrival, so the gate becomes a confirmation instead of an interview.

Fraud stopped at the door

Liveness detection and face matching make a borrowed license or a stolen load far harder to pull off.

Consistent decisions

Verification rules you configure decide clear, review, or deny, the same way on every shift.

An audit trail that holds up

Every capture, finding, and decision is recorded with a reason, ready for a claim or an audit.
